Lt. David Lim joined the New York and New Jersey Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) in 1980 and lost his K-9 partner, Sirius when the South Tower collapsed. Lim was in the tower as well, but miraculously survived. Sirius was recovered and laid to rest with a full honor guard, in a manner deserving of a true PAPD officer. Lim retired from the PAPD in 2014 and today spends his time with family, working on his golf swing and cheering for the Mets.
