The 9/11 Day Observance is annually lead and organized by the 9/11 nonprofit group MyGoodDeed, created in 2002 to establish and support September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. The 9/11 Day Observance is widely supported within the 9/11 community, by relatives of those lost, first responders, volunteers and others. It is also actively supported by an influential coalition of leading nonprofit organizations, agencies, and other groups.
